FOUNDER AND CEO OF THE WORLD OF OPTOMETRY

Founder and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The World of Optometry, a youth-led organisation from over 13 different countries aimed to create an impressive and efficient eye health awareness, as well as to improve optometrists’ practice globally in 2020.

Worked with the Malaysian Bioethics Community (MBC) on a guidance document called Bioethics and COVID-19: Guidance for Clinicians in May 2020, where he contributed t the content for Chapter 4, in which he reviewed two important articles on resource allocation during a pandemic.

RECIPIENT OF THE BEST POSTER AWARD AT THE 13TH MOH-AMM SCIENTIFIC MEETING 2019

Congratulations to Dr Poh Tian who recently received the Best Poster Award (Clinical) at the 13^th MOH-AMM Scientific Meeting 2019 in conjunction with the 21^st National of Health (NIH). The scientific meeting was organised by the Ministry of Health (MOH), Malaysia and Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (AMM). Her paper was entitled ‘Efficacy and Safety of Stem Cell Therapy for people with Cerebral Palsy: Systematic Review with Meta-Analysis’.

3RD INTERVARSITY PARASITOLOGY QUIZ AND ORATORICAL COMPETITION 2019 CHAMPION (ORATORICAL)

 In oratical competition, Kavinkumar presented his notes on “Why is parasitology important in today’s context?” and leading him to win the Champion title. He won a cash prize and a trophy.

3RD INTERVARSITY PARASITOLOGY QUIZ AND ORATORICAL COMPETITION 2019 1ST RUNNER UP (QUIZ)

Overall there were seven universities participated and UCSI students won in both competitions: Oratical and Quiz.

These students bagged the 1^st Runner Up title and a trophy in the quiz category.
